(Updates with BlackRock's response in the third paragraph.)
BlackRock (BLK) is poised to be selected as the preferred manager for a portfolio of Dutch pension assets worth just under 70 billion euros ($80.2 billion), Bloomberg News reported Friday.
BpfBouw selected BlackRock based on its international footprint, execution capacity and alignment on socially responsible investing, with the parties still negotiating the terms of the agreement, according to the report.
"We feel privileged by bpfBOUW's decision to choose BlackRock as their preferred candidate and look forward to helping their participants, nearly 750,000 construction workers in the Netherlands, retire with dignity," the company said in a statement e-mailed to MT Newswires.
