Revolution Medicines (RVMD) said Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration has given breakthrough therapy designation to Rasonque plus chemotherapy to treat pancreatic cancer.
The company said Rasonque was recently approved by the US FDA to treat adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer who have received at least one systemic therapy or who are not candidates for multiagent systemic therapy.
Revolution said the use of Rasonque plus chemotherapy for treatment-naive metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma is still investigational, with safety and efficacy not yet established.
