Consumer stocks were falling pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) down 0.4% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) declining by 0.9%.
Signet Jewelers (SIG) shares were up more than 13% after the company posted higher fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings, and raised its fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS guidance.
