Stocks to Watch Wednesday Recap: Apple, Meta, Lyft, Amazon

Apple (AAPL): The tech giant unveiled its first foldable iPhone. It's the first big product launch event for new CEO John Ternus. Shares inched 0.3% lower.

Meta Platforms (META): Shares in the social-media company rose more than 6%. The company on Tuesday announced a new personal AI agent called Muse that can buy goods online, respond to emails and complete other tasks users authorize it to do for them.

Lyft (LYFT): The ride-hailing platform named Michael Brous as its next finance chief, replacing Erin Brewer, who is retiring after three years in the role. Lyft also reaffirmed its guidance from early August. Shares fell 8%.

Chime Financial $(CHYM)$: Shares in the financial-technology company gained 6.9% after it agreed to pay $590 million in cash to acquire Oklahoma lender Stride LRN Bank.

ServiceTitan (TTAN): Guidance from the provider of software for plumbing, roofing and other trades disappointed investors. Shares sank 30%, its biggest one-day fall on record.

Fortum (FI:FORTUM): Shares in the Nordic energy company bounced 16% after it signed a deal with Google to power data centers in Finland.

Inditex (ES:ITX): Shares in the Zara owner slipped 3.6% after its latest results showed a 9% year-on-year increase in sales.

Burberry (UK:BRBY): Shares in the U.K. luxury brand dropped 4% after HSBC downgraded its rating on the stock.

Amazon (AMZN): Investigators said two systems that could have slowed an Amazon Air flight that crashed in Miami over the weekend weren't deployed before the plane careened off a runway and crashed into nearby vehicles. Shares fell 1.8%.
