Deutsche Bank (DB) is preparing a significant risk-transfer transaction, or SRT, tied to about 2 billion euros ($2.32 billion) in project-finance loans, including debt for data-center infrastructure, as lenders increasingly seek protection against growing AI-related risks, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The structure and terms of the deal are not yet final as talks with investors continue, according to the report.
Separately, the German lender is planning a second SRT under its Craft program and is in talks on its first transaction from a new platform called Start, aimed at hedging credit risks tied to small and mid-sized German firms, Bloomberg said.
