Alcon (ALC) said Thursday that it has announced the initial commercial launch of its UNITY M surgical microscope for ophthalmic surgeons in select markets in the US and Japan.
The eye-care medical-device company said it will begin the commercial rollout later this year, with Europe to follow the US and Japan.
The microscope is designed to improve visual clarity and surgeon control during eye surgeries, the company said.
