ABC-Mart's All Stores Sales Rise 6.5% in August

ABC-Mart (TYO:2670) all-store sales grew 6.5% year-on-year in August driven by strong performance in sandals, T-shirts, new sneakers, and well-received kids' footwear collaborations.

Enhanced Obon holiday promotions and targeted sales initiatives further bolstered results across all key categories.

The retailer's existing stores posted a 7% year-on-year increase in sales during the month under review, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The number of customers at all stores edged up 0.4% while spending rose 6.1%.

At existing stores, customer count gained 0.9% while sales per customer climbed 6%.

The retailer closed two stores during the month, bringing the total store count to 1,116.
