ECB raised policy rates by 25 bps as expected. Deposit facility rate increased from 2.25% to 2.50%; main refinancing rate to 2.65%; marginal lending rate to 2.90%.

ECB says outlook highly uncertain; upside risks to inflation coexist with downside risks to growth.

ECB will adopt a data-dependent, meeting-by-meeting approach to determining the appropriate monetary policy stance.

ECB projects GDP growth of 0.9% in 2026, 1.4% in 2027 and 1.5% in 2028, versus June projections of 0.8%, 1.2% and 1.5% respectively.

Traders' bets on ECB rates remained steady, pricing one further rate hike in 2026.
