Shares of Tennor Therapy-B (06872) advanced more than 7% in early trading, continuing a volatile week for the biopharmaceutical firm. The stock had previously spiked over 15% in the prior session before reversing sharply to close more than 8% lower. Tennor Therapy-B formally entered the Stock Connect program on September 7, a milestone the company says reflects broad market recognition of its investment value, market capitalization, and liquidity. Through this arrangement, eligible mainland Chinese investors can now directly purchase the company's shares via the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong schemes.

The company focuses on bacterial infections and conditions tied to bacterial metabolism. Leveraging its proprietary multi-target conjugate molecular technology platform, Tennor Therapy-B has built a pipeline of seven innovative candidates, with lead assets including TNP-2198 and rifaquizinone (TNP-2092 injectable).

On September 7, the company announced positive proof-of-concept data from its Phase IIa trial of rifaquizinone for prosthetic joint infections (PJI). A multi-center Phase IIb study has since been initiated, further underlining the clinical advancement of its pipeline.
