Families who have adhered to the one-child policy can apply for a one-time reward. Qualified parents in Foshan can receive a payment of 3,600 yuan. The application process and specific requirements vary by district, and guides are available to help applicants navigate the necessary steps.

Senior Citizen Allowance

Foshan provides monthly subsidies to elderly residents based on their age and district of residence. In Chancheng District, payments range from 30 yuan per month for those aged 70-79, up to 500 yuan for those over 100. Nanhai District offers 30 yuan for ages 70-79, 100 yuan for 80-89, 150 yuan for 90-99, and 500 yuan for centenarians. Personal Social Insurance Subsidy for 2026

This program, an extension of provincial policy, accepts applications until December 31, 2026. It is designed for individuals from key groups employed in small and medium-sized enterprises within designated industries. Eligible applicants include 2026 graduates, those who graduated in 2024 or 2025 and have been unemployed for two years, long-term unemployed individuals who found work in 2026, and those monitored for poverty prevention. The employing enterprise must be registered in Guangdong Province, operate in manufacturing, living services, or modern services, and not be classified as a large enterprise. The monthly subsidy equals 25% of the individual's actual contributions to basic pension, medical, and unemployment insurance, with a maximum cumulative period of 12 months. Those who missed applying for the 2025 period can also submit claims during 2026.

Flexible Employment Social Insurance Subsidy

This subsidy targets individuals with employment difficulties and college graduates within two years of graduation who have taken up flexible work and participate in employee pension and medical insurance. The monthly benefit is 300 yuan, or two-thirds of the actual contribution if that amount is less than 300 yuan. This new standard takes effect from July 1, 2026, while claims made before that date will follow the previous policy of 50% of actual contributions. Applications can be submitted quarterly or semi-annually to the local human resources and social security department. For those with employment difficulties, the total subsidy period cannot exceed three years, with an exception for those within five years of statutory retirement age. College graduates also face a three-year cap on receiving this benefit.

Trade-In Subsidy Program for 2026

Running from January 1 to December 31, 2026, this program covers vehicle scrappage and replacement, trade-ins for six categories of home appliances, and purchases of four types of digital products. For car scrappage, scrapping an old gasoline vehicle and buying a new energy passenger car qualifies for a 12% subsidy based on the vehicle price, capped at 20,000 yuan. Buying a fuel vehicle with an engine of 2.0 liters or less yields a 10% subsidy, capped at 15,000 yuan. For vehicle replacement, trading in an old car for a new energy vehicle provides an 8% subsidy up to 15,000 yuan, while a qualifying fuel vehicle replacement gets 6% up to 13,000 yuan. Home appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, air conditioners, water heaters, and computers with top-tier energy or water efficiency ratings receive a 15% subsidy, up to 1,500 yuan per item, limited to one item per category. Digital products such as phones, tablets, smartwatches, and smart glasses, priced under 6,000 yuan, also get a 15% subsidy, with a maximum of 500 yuan per item and one item per category per consumer. New additions to the program include smart locks, printers, displays, toilets, respiratory assistance devices, and digital cameras, all with a 15% subsidy up to 1,500 yuan per item. The program may conclude early if allocated funds are exhausted.

One-Time Job Seeking Subsidy

Students in their final year at universities, vocational schools, or technical colleges who meet specific criteria can receive a one-time payment of 3,000 yuan. Eligibility extends to those from low-income families, zero-employment households, or poverty prevention monitoring families, as well as individuals classified as extremely poor, disabled persons holding certificates, or those who have received national student loans. Applications must be submitted through the school before graduation, and the subsidy is typically disbursed to the student's social security card financial account. Each person can receive this benefit only once.

Applicants can access these programs through official platforms such as the Guangdong Public Employment Service Cloud Platform or local district channels. For detailed guides on eligibility, required materials, and application links for each subsidy, residents are encouraged to consult the relevant municipal and district resources.
