Recently, Three Gorges Shanghai Institute has been awarded the contract for the feasibility study report compilation of the Three Gorges Energy Dalian DL6 Site 500MW Offshore Wind Power Project.
The DL6 project is situated in the southern waters of Zhuanghe, Dalian, approximately 43 to 53 kilometers offshore, with water depths ranging from 32 to 38 meters. The planned installed capacity is 500MW, with supporting infrastructure including a 220kV offshore substation and an onshore control center.
The site conditions present exceptionally demanding requirements for foundation design, submarine cable routing, and substation layout. The northern Yellow Sea region experiences dense winter sea ice and complex geological structures, making it one of the most challenging areas for offshore wind design in China.
In recent years, Three Gorges Shanghai Institute has successively undertaken multiple projects including Zhuanghe I, Zhuanghe III, and Zhuanghe V, accumulating extensive experience in high-latitude cold-region wind power development. Compared to operational projects, the DL6 site features significantly greater offshore distance and water depth, with turbine unit capacity increased to 12-14MW.
Three Gorges Shanghai Institute will leverage its cold-region offshore wind design expertise and in-situ monitoring data to implement refined design approaches, ensuring the timely completion of all preliminary tasks and providing solid technical support for the project's subsequent construction.
