Motorists are advised to take note that fuel prices will be adjusted this evening. According to information released by the National Development and Reform Commission on September 11th, since the adjustment of domestic refined oil product prices on August 28th, the conflict between the US and Iran has escalated once again, leading to a continuous and significant surge in international crude oil market prices. In particular, crude oil prices in the Middle East region have once again experienced abnormal increases.

In order to mitigate the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market, ensure stable economic operations, and safeguard people's livelihoods, temporary control measures will be implemented on domestic refined oil product prices while maintaining the framework of the current pricing mechanism. Based on calculations under the current pricing mechanism, the prices of domestic gasoline and diesel (standard products) should have been raised by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per ton, respectively, on September 11th. However, after the implementation of control measures, the actual increases will be limited to 260 yuan and 250 yuan per ton.

The National Development and Reform Commission will guide refined oil production and sales enterprises to make every effort to ensure production and transportation, guaranteeing stable market supply. Additionally, it will collaborate with relevant departments to intensify market supervision and inspection efforts, strictly penalize illegal and non-compliant activities such as failure to implement national pricing policies, effectively maintain market order, and protect consumer interests.
