The competition in the AI office sector has shifted to the ecosystem level. On September 2, Tencent's AI office product WorkBuddy officially launched its open platform, with over 100 software and hardware providers, industry applications, and developer partners joining initially, making it the first Agent base in China to connect the three-tier ecosystem of hardware, industry applications, and developers. Additionally, WorkBuddy recently launched a back-to-school campaign to capture the higher education AI application market.
Jefferies published a research report stating that DeepSeek's release of the DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash is a cost-effective model. The firm has assigned "Buy" ratings to Alibaba-W (09988), TENCENT (00700), and MINIMAX-W (00100), with target prices of HK$184, HK$750, and HK$533, respectively. Jefferies noted that DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash features several breakthroughs, including a total parameter count of 552 billion (active parameters: 8 billion input, 16 billion output), a new Causal Encoder-Decoder (CED) architecture, and a novel pre-training approach with large-scale post-training. In third-party Agentic Benchmark evaluations, it outperformed Moonshot's Kimi-K3, Anthropic's Opus5, and OpenAI's GPT5.6 Sol.
