ANTENGENE-B (06996) announced that the company's board of directors was informed by Dr. Mei Jianming, the founder, executive director, chief executive officer, and chairman of the company, that on March 23 and 24, 2026, Dr. Mei, through an entity under his control, purchased a total of 200,000 ordinary shares of the company on the open market at an average price of approximately $0.512 per share (equivalent to about HK$3.99 per share based on an exchange rate of 7.8). This represents approximately 0.029% of the total issued shares (excluding 202,500 treasury shares). Following this purchase, and in accordance with Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Dr. Mei is deemed to have an interest in a total of 184 million shares, representing approximately 27.158% of the total issued shares (excluding 202,500 treasury shares) as of the date of this announcement.
The board was further informed by Mr. Long Zhenguo, an executive director and chief financial officer of the company, that on March 23 and 24, 2026, Mr. Long purchased a total of 502,500 shares on the open market at an average price of approximately HK$4.006 per share. This represents approximately 0.074% of the total issued shares (excluding 202,500 treasury shares). Following this purchase, and under Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance, Mr. Long is deemed to have an interest in a total of 4.4825 million shares, representing approximately 0.66% of the total issued shares (excluding 202,500 treasury shares) as of the date of this announcement.
The board was also informed by Mr. Cao Yang, corporate vice president and company secretary of the board, that on March 23 and 24, 2026, he acquired shares on the open market for a total consideration of HK$1.042 million. The total consideration paid by Dr. Mei, Mr. Long, and Mr. Cao for their open market share acquisitions amounts to HK$3.853 million.
According to Dr. Mei, Mr. Long, and Mr. Cao, these purchases were made based on their firm confidence in the long-term investment value of the group, its robust research and development capabilities, and its ability to drive continuous innovation. They believe the group is well-positioned to advance its pipeline and achieve sustainable long-term growth. Subject to compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, they do not rule out the possibility of further increasing their shareholdings in the company at an appropriate time.
