As the seventh anniversary of Daxing Airport's operation approaches, a series of service enhancements have been rolled out across the board. From faster security checks to smart customer service and improved overnight transfer experiences, the common pain points of air travel are being systematically addressed.

Accelerated Security Checks: No Need to Remove Laptops, Tablets, or Umbrellas

The familiar scene of long queues at security during peak hours, with passengers digging out laptops, tablets, and umbrellas from their bags, now has a new solution. The Civil Aviation Administration's "Easy Security Check" dedicated lane, designed for frequent flyers, is equipped with carry-on luggage CT scanners and millimeter-wave gates, supporting whole-bag inspection. Passengers typically only need to remove power banks, while laptops, tablets, umbrellas, and other items can remain in the bag, saving an average of about 3 minutes per person. Previously, Daxing Airport had two "Easy Security Check" lanes, located on the east and west sides of the third floor of the terminal. Recently, the airport added a new dedicated lane on the B1 floor at the rail transit interchange level, bringing the total to three lanes that now cover all domestic security checkpoints, open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Passengers arriving by subway or the Beijing-Xiong'an intercity railway can now complete security checks directly on the B1 floor without having to go upstairs. Zuo Ming, head of the Second Section of the Terminal Security Department at the security branch, explained that the new B1 lane facilitates nearby inspection for rail transit passengers. Travelers only need to scan their ID card for all verification procedures to be completed automatically, with no need for QR codes or manual comparison, achieving a streamlined "card scan, door open, pass through" process. Passengers can make a real-name reservation via Alipay by searching for "Easy Security Check" within 48 hours before their flight. Since its launch in October 2024, this lane has served over 1.4 million passengers.

Information Desks Moved into Phones with One-Tap Access to Real Agents

Daxing Airport's smart customer service has now been made available to all passengers, having already served 15,000 users during its trial run. At the service counter on the B1 floor, a passenger surnamed Mao used the smart device to connect with a live duty agent in the background with a single tap, finding the "face-to-face on screen" experience highly convenient. It is noted that Daxing Airport has 8 manned service counters, but they are not staffed around the clock, leading to a concentration of inquiries during nighttime and peak hours. The airport has now deployed 6 smart customer service terminals, mainly in high-traffic areas of the domestic and international mixed-flow zones, to fill the service gap. For standardized questions such as flight status, connecting transportation, or security rules, passengers can open the official APP or mini-program and click on "Smart Customer Service" for instant responses. Li Pengju, business manager of the Terminal Management Department, stated that simple questions are handled by the online smart customer service robot, while complex and personalized issues are transferred to the manual system, effectively improving service efficiency.

Overnight and Transfer Options: Relaxation from 20 Yuan, Including Tent Rentals

Early morning flights, late-night arrivals, and overnight transfers—spending the night at the airport has long been a headache for travelers. Now, Daxing Airport offers comprehensive solutions ranging from free to comfortable options. At the observation and leisure area near Gate B21, over 20 recliners by the floor-to-ceiling windows are almost fully occupied. A passenger surnamed Su commented, "With a long layover, being able to lie down is quite comfortable"; another passenger surnamed Dang noted that for business trips requiring urgent work, having such a rest area is very helpful. This rest area features partition designs for privacy, is equipped with charging ports and USB outlets, and offers views of aircraft takeoffs and landings on the apron. Elsewhere in the terminal, there are 13 additional care rest zones providing free seating, recliners, and sofas. For those seeking a quieter environment, the "Economy Relaxation Zone" near Gate A01 is available from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rates starting at just 20 yuan. Passengers can book on-site via QR code scan or through the "Xingxian Song" mini-program. Chen Yuan, supervisor of the Terminal Management Department, mentioned that this year, new services such as tent rentals have been introduced to cater to family travelers' overnight needs, with prices ranging from 20 to 129 yuan. Additionally, the airport offers massage chairs, sleep pods, timed rest rooms, and high-quality airport hotels, providing a variety of overnight choices. From "convenient travel" to "peaceful overnight stays," Daxing Airport is transforming itself from a mere transportation hub into a warm haven in the depths of the night.
