A comprehensive demonstration event for winter jujube orchard mechanization, coupled with agricultural machinery maintenance skills training, was organized on August 28th by the Agricultural Machinery Development Center. The session took place at Shanxi Lvyunda Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. in Zhangzhuang Village, MiaoShang Township, drawing an audience of over 60 participants, including technical staff, township machinery coordinators, cooperative leaders, major machinery operators, and local fruit growers.
The array of machinery on display offered a complete mechanization solution tailored to Linyi's jujube orchard management models. Experts explained the operational techniques for winter jujube mechanization, with enterprise technicians providing hands-on instruction on the use of remote-controlled tillage machinery.
Focusing on the entire production chain—from soil tilling and fertilization, weeding, and pest control spraying to fruit harvesting and transport—the event introduced specialized equipment. This included remote-controlled intelligent orchard management units, fully electric remote-controlled smart mowers, unmanned plant protection vehicles, self-propelled sprayers, intelligent follow-type transport carts, and multi-functional lifting transport vehicles.
These machines are designed to handle tasks on sloping terrain, return crushed straw to the field, enable unmanned pesticide application, and assist with fruit transshipment and picking. Their introduction fills the gap in intelligent and unmanned machinery for orchards, significantly reducing manual labor intensity and boosting the quality and efficiency of the winter jujube industry.
During the training component, Professor Sun Xiuqin from Yuncheng Agricultural Vocational and Technical College lectured on mechanized pest and disease control for jujube orchards. Additionally, a representative from the Linyi County Agricultural Machinery Management Section shared crucial safety protocols and precautions for the proper use of agricultural equipment.
Following the indoor sessions, experts and trainees moved to the fields for a practical demonstration. Technicians provided detailed introductions to 12 types of machinery suitable for Linyi orchard operations, covering ditching and fertilization, branch crushing and returning, high-efficiency plant protection, mechanical weeding, harvesting and transport assistance, and intelligent follow-type vehicles. They offered comprehensive explanations on the usage techniques, maintenance skills, and performance characteristics of each machine.
This event established a valuable platform for communication and learning among attendees, providing technical support to free fruit and jujube farmers from arduous manual labor.
