On September 7, BUSYMING formally addressed recent store weighing issues that had sparked public concern. The group's subsidiary brands, Snack Busy and Zhao Yiming Snacks, announced the establishment of a dedicated compensation fund for advance payouts. Starting from September 7, 2026, any store found to have weighing discrepancies will see compensation standards raised beyond the industry-standard threefold price difference, with customers now entitled to ten times the price difference for incorrectly weighed items.

Additionally, the company is rolling out a nationwide秤具 monitoring system across all stores, implementing daily scale calibration procedures, weighing records retention, and enhanced staff training and audit protocols. The BUSYMING group stated it has proactively contacted market regulatory authorities to report and communicate on the matter, fully cooperating with relevant inspections while offering sincere apologies for any losses and inconvenience caused to consumers. The company also encourages customers to proactively request and verify their shopping receipts, urging them to actively defend their rights if any issues arise.

Public records indicate that Zhao Yiming Snacks is a bulk snack retail chain brand under Hunan BUSYMING Commercial Chain Co., Ltd., which also owns the Snack Busy bulk snack retail chain brand. Recently, the company announced that its nationwide total of signed stores has surpassed the 30,000 mark.

Here is the full text of the group's official response regarding the store weighing issue:

Recent concerns over store weighing practices have drawn significant public attention. We take this matter with the utmost seriousness and have promptly contacted market regulatory authorities to report and communicate, fully cooperating with all relevant inspections. At the same time, for any losses and inconvenience caused to consumers, we sincerely say: we are sorry.

In response to the weighing issue, Snack Busy and Zhao Yiming Snacks will strictly implement the following measures:

First, for every weighing error, we will compensate ten times the price difference. Snack Busy and Zhao Yiming Snacks will establish a special fund for advance compensation. Starting September 7, 2026, should any store encounter weighing problems, compensation standards will be further elevated above the industry's threefold differential, providing tenfold reimbursement based on the price difference of the incorrectly weighed products.

Second, every scale must be calibrated before use. All stores will be uniformly equipped with standard calibration weights. Each day, before opening, scales must be calibrated to ensure accuracy before checkout operations begin. Simultaneously, a nationwide scale monitoring system will be launched to track weighing activities in real time, promptly alerting staff to any abnormalities, with problematic scales being immediately taken out of service for maintenance. If customers have doubts about weighing results, they are welcome to re-weigh items on the spot or use the standard weights for on-site verification.

Third, every weighing transaction will be traceable. After bulk items are weighed, the weighing data for each order will be recorded and transmitted back to headquarters, ensuring traceability and immutability, guaranteeing that any problems can be traced to specific individuals and root causes.

Fourth, every store will be subject to oversight. All store employees will undergo rigorous monthly assessments on checkout standards, with regular inspections conducted by headquarters supervisors. For those failing to implement these measures properly, both store managers and supervising personnel will be held accountable.

We understand that every transaction represents a measure of trust. We sincerely urge customers visiting our stores to proactively request and verify their shopping receipts and to promptly report any discrepancies to us, resolutely standing up for their rights. This serves as the most effective form of feedback and the best way for us to grow. We will firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of every consumer, and we welcome continued oversight from regulatory bodies and news media.
