Honghua Group Limited announced a leadership reshuffle effective 3 September 2026.
Zhu Hua, previously President and Executive Director, has become Chairman of the Board as well as Chairman of both the Nomination Committee and the Strategic Investment Committee. To allow Zhu to focus on these responsibilities, he will relinquish the post of President but remain an Executive Director.
Zhang Xiaodong, aged 44, has been appointed Executive Director, President, and member of the Strategic Investment Committee. Zhang joined Dongfang Electric in 2004 and has extensive experience in energy-equipment R&D and operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Thermal and Power Engineering and a master’s degree in Power Engineering.
Zhang’s executive director service contract runs for three years. He will not receive directors’ fees, but in his role as President he is entitled to an annual basic salary of RMB 0.24 million, plus performance-based discretionary bonus and allowances.
With Zhu’s appointment as Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Honghua Group has restored compliance with Rule 3.27A of Hong Kong’s Listing Rules within the required three-month period.
