A 34-year-old Russian physics professor, Sergei, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of small cell carcinoma in his maxillary sinus. After seven rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy failed to control the disease, leaving him with blurred vision and lost teeth, he discovered through a patient community that Hainan's Boao Lecheng area hosts the only facility in mainland China capable of performing BNCT clinical treatment. Its parent group's medical network spans Singapore, mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, enabling deep synergy across the region. The collaboration will create a comprehensive "overseas assessment + domestic treatment + overseas follow-up" service chain. Hong Kong doctors will first conduct remote MDT consultations and evaluations. Patients who meet the criteria can then fly directly to Hainan for BNCT treatment, followed by post-treatment rehabilitation and follow-up managed by the Hong Kong team.

At the signing ceremony, Liu Xiaolin, Chairman of the Board of CH BIOTECH SER, emphasized that the core of this partnership rests on four pillars: a green channel for international diagnosis and treatment coordination, regular international MDT sessions, joint research and real-world studies, and talent cultivation and academic exchange. Leveraging Hainan Free Trade Port's visa-free policies and the Lecheng Pilot Zone's privileged medical access, Pengbo Hospital is widening its international patient channel. Consultations and appointment requests have already reached the thousands, including patients from the United States, Vietnam, and Indonesia. With OncoCare's brand influence and patient network in Southeast Asia, Pengbo Hospital is well-positioned to attract more patients from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. These patients can undergo initial screening and evaluation locally, travel to Hainan via the green channel for treatment, and receive continuous follow-up care from the OncoCare medical team afterward. Commercial insurance coverage is also being expanded to reduce patient financial burden.
