At the Eighth China Fintech Forum, held as part of the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services financial events, the Eighth China Fintech Exchange Conference was successfully hosted in the A-pavilion lecture hall of Shougang Park's No. 3 High Furnace in Beijing. China Securities Co., Ltd. Executive Committee Member and Chief Information Officer Xiao Gang attended the event and delivered a keynote address. Under the theme "Exploration and Practice of Large Model Technology Empowering Digital-Intelligent Investment Banking Construction," he shared the company's initiatives and experiences across five dimensions: industry landscape, overall AI development planning, technical capability building, application implementation scenarios, and reflections with future outlook.
He noted that in the inaugural year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," AI is transitioning from a supporting tool to a production system, moving from pilot applications to large-scale deployment. Meanwhile, the evaluation criteria are shifting from "whether it works" to "whether it creates value," signaling that the industry's digital transformation has entered a value-creation phase. Since 2024, China Securities Co., Ltd. has launched its "AI+" action plan, systematically advancing AI application capabilities. The company has constructed foundational platforms including a "1+N" enterprise knowledge base, an intelligent agent development platform, an MCP service plaza, and a SkillHub skills center. These efforts focus on advancing AI-native applications across more than ten domains such as intelligent research, investment, investment banking, advisory, fixed income, and customer service, with multiple achievements receiving accolades like the Fintech Development Award.
Looking ahead, Xiao emphasized that AI empowerment in financial services will exhibit three major trends: platformization, scaling, and ecosystem development. He expressed the company's willingness to collaborate with all parties while upholding principles of security, controllability, openness, and cooperation—jointly advancing initiatives in technology finance and digital finance to support high-quality development of the real economy.
