According to reports, the Pinglu Canal, the first river-to-sea canal project under national-level coordinated construction since the founding of the People's Republic of China, is scheduled to officially open for navigation tomorrow (September 16).

With multimodal transport trains arriving at ports and river-sea vessels docking in place, multiple new sea-river intermodal and cross-border shipping routes have completed preparations for their maiden voyages.

This marks the imminent full operation of a modern logistics corridor in the southwestern region, connecting inland waterways to the sea and linking with ASEAN countries.
