At a recent media briefing, the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Forum (CCFA) Research Institute unveiled plans for its upcoming annual summit. The CCFA Annual Summit and Smart Electric Vehicle Development Forum (2027) is set to take place from January 22 to 24, 2027, at the China National Convention Center, operating under the theme "Based on a New Development Pattern, Achieving New Growth in the Automotive Industry."

The briefing was moderated by Liu Xiaoshi, Vice Chairman of the CCFA Research Institute. Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of the research institute, presented an analysis of the current state and future outlook of China's automotive sector. Shi Jianhua, Vice Chairman of the institute and Dean of the Chebai Think Tank, detailed the design, organization, and preparation progress for the 2027 forum.

Chairman Zhang noted that China's automotive industry has transitioned beyond the phase of growth driven by scale expansion. The sector is now entering a new cycle marked by a profound shift in its growth logic, with the entire industry grappling with how to achieve growth under this new paradigm. In response, the forum will bring together representatives from the automotive, energy, transportation, urban planning, communications, and artificial intelligence sectors in Beijing. The goal is to conduct in-depth discussions on injecting new momentum into the automotive industry, fostering a new industrial ecosystem, and creating new avenues for expansion.

Vice Chairman Shi outlined the forum's structure, which is designed to address the depth and breadth of global automotive development. The event will feature a "1+1+1+N" conference system, comprising one high-level plenary, one high-level seminar, one international forum, and multiple thematic sessions. In addition, three exhibitions will run concurrently, and the institute will release its latest industry research findings. A key highlight of the 2027 annual meeting will be the inaugural establishment of a presidium, composed of industry experts and corporate leaders, to guide the forum's strategic direction and provide top-level advice for industrial development.

As the automotive industry's growth dynamics undergo this fundamental transformation, achieving sustainable growth within the new framework is a shared challenge for the entire sector. The CCFA Annual Summit and Smart EV Development Forum (2027) aims to build a high-level dialogue platform with a more open approach and systematic agenda design. It seeks to directly confront the critical issues of industrial transformation, collaboratively seek answers for growth in the new cycle, and support the steady and long-term advancement of the automotive industry.
